Are you a woman struggling with aging and looking for a way to regain control over your body? If so, Frownies is here to help.
Aging. It’s an inevitable part of life that we all wish we could avoid, but as the saying goes, you cannot cheat Mother Nature. People of all genders struggle with the aging process, however, it is women who seem to suffer the most. Society has taught women that their value is solely based on their appearance. Not their intelligence or their accomplishments. The minute a woman would turn a certain age, she was often deemed an old maid and unfit to marry. Things didn’t get much better as time went on. In the later decades, such as the sixties and eighties, people began to become more obsessed with their looks. Women who began to develop wrinkles and a plethora of cosmetic-related aging issues were often looked down upon and even ridiculed because of their fading beauty. Unfortunately, this kind of issue still exists today. Ageism, as it is called, can affect a person’s health and well-being. It can also lead to discrimination in employment, healthcare, and in the media. Older people are often ridiculed due to their looks and are viewed negatively.

Even though we cannot stop the process of aging, there are things you can do to help to get rid of some of the more bothersome cosmetic issues surrounding it. Some methods include specialized creams, while others include measures such as plastic surgery. Some creams can help, but they often contain toxic ingredients that can cause great harm to your body. Plastic surgery, while a more drastic measure, can sometimes help, but the results don’t last very long and can even cause harmful side effects. Fortunately, more and more people today are finding ways to age gracefully and gain a little more control of their bodies. Even several brands are dedicated to helping people, especially women, do exactly this. One of the most fascinating brands is Frownies.
Frownies
Frownies is a skincare brand that is created by women for women. It has been around for multiple generations and has always been deeply committed to empowering women and promoting the kind of beauty that improves with age.
The company’s history begins in 1889. A beautiful and intelligent woman named Margaret Kroesen discovered that her concert pianist daughter, Alice, had begun to develop wrinkles between her eyes. To help her daughter, Margaret created facial patches that became known as “Wrinkle Eradicators.” They were specially designed to smooth and soften wrinkles, and interestingly enough, they existed before surgical options were even available. Margaret had done the unimaginable and had been able to give women more control over their bodies in an age when they weren’t even allowed to vote yet. Eventually, the product blossomed into a brand that would soon come to be known as Frownies. Alice’s daughter, Margaret Wright, would take over the company in the 1960s. She became responsible for redesigning and updating the packaging for Frownies while never steering away from the formula that made their products so unique. The current head of the company is Margaret Wright’s daughter, Kat. She continues the family’s philosophy of helping women age gracefully along with her three daughters: Helen, Sally, and Maggie.
