A Free Mind is all you need …

Concentration is essential for success in every area of life, at work and at home, at school and in college, in sports and in business, for achieving goals and completing tasks. If you wish to improve your life and to achieve success in any area of it, you need an improved ability to understand the importance of details.

According to the Special Health Report, “Improving Memory”, from Harvard Medical School, normal aging leads to gradual changes in many skills associated with thinking and memory. For example, you might find it harder to focus your attention and absorb information quickly. The slowdown in processing can lead to a bottleneck of information entering your short-term memory, reducing the amount of information that can be acquired and encoded into long-term memory. Concentration is an activity like any other. Clearly the more we practice, the better our concentration will become. Remember to give your brain a quick break at least every hour, at most every 30 minutes. If your brain has to concentrate consistently for hours at a time, it loses processing power and your concentration levels slip.

Smart drugs but not so much a “smart idea”

Smart drugs are very popular among college students and educated people, but just because a lot of smart people are taking prescription drugs to increase their brainpower doesn’t mean it’s a “smart idea”. There are numerous reasons smart drugs are a bad idea. Below find a few compelling arguments against the use of “smart drugs”: Smart drugs allow the user to go without sleep for extended periods of time, which is detrimental to your brain. During sleep, your brain repairs itself grows new brain cells and consolidates memories. Smart drugs can cause dangerous lows, psychosis with extreme use, rebound fatigue, and depression. Smart drugs can also cause emotional instability.

Smart drugs that may improve brain performance in the short-run appear to have negative effects on developing brains, making them less organizing and adaptable for multitasking and planning.

Supplement your brain the healthy way

No suggestion of supplements for brain health is complete without mentioning Omega-3 oil. The majority of the brain is made up of “good” fats knows as fatty acids, and the majority of this “good” fat is Omega-3. Studies have shown that diets rich in Omega-3 can result in increased learning ability, problem-solving skills, focus, memory, and communication between cells. Omega-3 has also been shown to help promote a positive mood and emotional balance.

Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant properties that help to protect your brain from various damages.

Ginkgo Biloba is mainly used to improve your memory because it raises blood flow to the brain. Vitamin B helps to carry oxygen to the brain. But, if you are looking for something to help enhance your concentration or elevate mental performance at work try natural nootropics.

Natural Nootropics –sometimes called safe alternative for smart drugs, by definition, are substances that improve cognitive functions and brain health with no harmful side effects. They are supposed to make your brain healthier while helping you reach your mental peak.

“Part of the core philosophy at FreeMind Supplements™ is to approach health in terms of the mind-body connection.  As we learn more about health it becomes apparent that we should look at the body as an entire system especially when it comes to supplementation.  It is absolutely vital to our health that we keep both our body and our mind healthy.  There are wealth of health supplements on the market for our bodies, but FreeMind Supplements™ is one of the few companies that create health supplements for our minds.  It is this holistic approach that they hope to revolutionize the way we look at our health in general.” – said Derek Black founder FreeMind Supplements™.

FreeMind Supplements™ flagship product, Insight™ includes a combination of adaptogenic herbs and natural nootropics to improve focus, memory, energy, mental clarity, and reduce the stress response. Over a year of research and development was done to ensure that Insight™ is the safest and most natural way to support overall cognitive health. Many independent studies have been done over the years that show the efficacy of the ingredients in Insight™.

Insight™ increases cognitive health and decreases stress response by using two main types of ingredients: nootropics and adaptogens.

How nootropics work

Nootropics work in 3 ways; first, they work by increasing the amount of available neurotransmitters, which are the brain chemicals that communicate information throughout your brain and body. How you learn, remember, process information, calculate, reason, imagine, create, focus, feel, perceive, and the move is largely determined by very basic brain functions at the synapses between neurons. By optimizing these connections, nootropics work to improve our cognitive abilities at this foundational level. Second, nootropics increase the amount of oxygen flow and blood flow to the brain. Both blood and oxygen carry valuable vitamins and nutrients to your brain, which helps to increase energy, alertness, and focus. Finally, nootropics work by preserving and protecting the brains neurons from age-related issues as well as toxins and other sorts of harms. When you combine these three processes you get noticeable increases in concentration, focus, memory, information recall, and mental clarity.

The other half of the ingredients in Insight™, called adaptogens, works by decreasing stress response and facilitating adaptation throughout the body. Adaptogens prevent the release of cortisol, the number one stress hormone, into the body when something stressful happens (stress can be anything from constant noises, environmental stresses, too much caffeine, being frightened, etc.). This has many benefits including increasing your immune system, elevating your energy levels and improving your overall mood. An additional benefit of adaptogens is that they help you adapt to your environment. These herbs have been used for thousands of years in many different cultures to aid in dealing with cold weather, fighting off illness, increasing libido, improving mood, and they have even been used by professional and Olympic athletes to improve sports performance.

These ingredients have a synergistic effect that supports the entire mind-body system.  Business professionals, students, CEOs, retirees, and pretty much anyone you can think of are using Insight™ to keep their minds and bodies functioning at their best. Users claim to have noticeable improvements in concentration, focus, memory, processing speed, energy, and physical performance as well as lower stress and anxiety. Combining these two types of ingredients really does have a profound effect on our day-to-day living, but don’t just take our word for it, try it for yourself and see what Insight ™ can do for you.

Relaxing helps concentration. Try 5 natural ways to relax:

1.    Music - listening to your favorite music is a great method of reducing stress and relieving anxiety.

2.    The slow movements and controlled postures of yoga improve muscle strength, flexibility, a range of motion, balance, and promote mental focus, clarity, and calmness.

3.    Walking and physical activities (dancing, gardening, swimming) strengthen your immune system, cardiovascular system, heart, muscle, and bones.

4.    High nutrient diet – eat food rich in antioxidants (like vitamins A, C, E, and lycopene) - almonds, blueberries, broccoli, kiwi.  Omega-3 fatty acids – flax seeds, walnuts, salmon or pumpkin seeds.

5.    Meditation and hydrotherapies. Relaxing in a hot bath reduces stress and tension and promotes a good night’s sleep. Meditation helps you clear your mind and increases concentration.
