Life is hectic, but this isn’t always bad. Family, friends, and social engagements are good, wholesome things that keep our schedules jam-packed.
But there’s also work, finances, and a growing list of responsibilities that add to our non-stop busyness. Sometimes, our calendars aren’t the only piece of us that feel overwhelmed.
Often, we feel the pressure of our daily lives builds up in our chests. The stressors we can’t seem to avoid feel like an elephant sitting on our lungs. We want to leave the hustle and bustle at the door when we come home, but too often it follows us to the dinner table, then to bed.
Instead of winding down for the evening, our minds race, reminding us of everything we have to do tomorrow. Inevitably, we can’t sleep. We wake the next morning feeling even worse.
We’re tired, over-committed, and drained of any vitality we once had for life.
