Founded by Brie Thompson and her mother, Michelle, our journey began in the kitchen, where some of their fondest memories were created. For Brie, these early moments with her mother, a teacher and a lover of creating recipes, sparked a lifelong passion for food. This shared love for culinary creativity became the foundation of Olivelle.
After completing her education in 2006, Brie returned to her hometown of Bozeman, Montana, where she and Michelle embarked on a mission to bring something unique to the local community. With a desire to create an unparalleled retail experience, they opened their flagship store, offering a range of high-quality olive oils and vinegar. However, their excitement was tempered by the realization that the market was saturated with subpar products, often masked with artificial flavors to compensate for inferior quality.
Undeterred, Brie and Michelle decided to take matters into their own hands, beginning with one of the industry’s first high-quality, single estate extra virgin olive oils. Their commitment to excellence quickly paid off, as customers instantly recognized the superior taste of our offerings. This success set the tone for the brand’s future, establishing a legacy of crafting exceptional products that are as delicious as they are authentic.
