Our Story
LaSonda Carrizales, the founder and CEO of My Crown My Glory, LLC, faced a major personal challenge back in 2020. She suffered from extreme hair dryness and substantial hair loss after going through hysterectomy during the coronavirus pandemic. This was a distressing time for her, as the pandemic had already exposed everyone to broader challenges. She was referred to both a trichologist and a dermatologist to address her hair loss. Even after a lot of professional consultations, her situation didn’t seem to improve because of her sensitive scalp and skin, which were affected by conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis. LaSonda had allergies to tree nuts also, which further complicated her search for effective hair care products.
LaSonda decided to take matters into her hands after getting frustrated by her inability to find appropriate products that were free from tree nuts and coconut. She began a mission to create a line of hair care products that would respond to specific allergenic concerns, as she had a strong desire to help herself and others facing similar challenges. The initiative that she took for everybody and herself had particular importance, as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classifies coconut and shea butter as tree nuts, and they can cause allergic reactions if present in products. Some of these reactions include itchy skin, rashes, facial swelling, hives, wheezing, irritated eyes, and in severe cases, anaphylaxis.
LaSonda Carrizales developed her best product through extensive research and collaboration with a chemist: the Avocado Oil Stimulating Hair Growth Serum. The product displays a thoughtful blend of 13 different carrier and essential oils, each chosen for their rich nutrient and vitamin content.
