Raising Standards to Reach Quality Health
Our well being is not something that we should compromise on. After all, if we are what we eat, why wouldn’t we want to be the absolute best that we could be? When we settle for less, we will always be undercutting our own needs in some way, shape, or form. So the key thing is not to settle and show commitment to the higher value of living we all deserve. Of course, this is not as easy as it sounds, because life is a rollercoaster of ups and downs, where convenience reigns supreme, and we get a little lost on the health track from time to time. This is all OK. The problem is never the problem- it’s how we deal with it that truly matters. When we find ourselves slipping up on our standards we can draw back to solutions, what’s real, what counts, and what enhances our daily lives. We always win when we think more of quality, rather than quantity.
Here are a few ways you can raise the bar and edge closer to better health!
1. Have a clear vision of your needs and goals
Clarity helps us to set great standards and to keep surpassing our own perceived limitations. We are all unique and we should define ourselves in our own truth and what makes us feel and look good. Having a set of crystal clear objectives give us a strong foundation to work toward and grow from. Sometimes we can lose ourselves in the weight of other people’s opinions, expectations, and beliefs- yet it is only our own that truly matter. Health begins in our mind that naturally filters through to our physical being. Our health and well being requires focus and attention, just the same as any other aspect of our life does in order to bloom and gain momentum.
2. Better nutritional practice
We are blessed with so many options and choices in relation to food and nutrition and a cleaner way of life. Making informed decisions about our health and nutrition is vital because once we ingrain those habits into our psyche they are hard to break out of. It pays to make better choices based on long-term health rather than seek out short-term fixes that become part of a continuum which creates unhealthy habits. We can seek natural rather than synthetic ways to improve our health, look for transparency on what we buy into, and of course eat well as often as we can so we arm ourselves with all the vital components of healthy living by nature’s quality.
3. Connect with people that share your values and standards
It’s so tricky trying to kick start yourself toward better standards and habits if you aren’t connecting with others that are on the same path. Changes always happen outside of our comfort zone; when we are focused on resetting our health and fitness regimen in some way it really helps to have a little friendly support. This may extend to products and services that you find some common connection to. For instance, when we choose a fitness trainer, we pick one that we know will help to push us past our limits, not one that keeps us from them. High standards and greater quality are not about perfection; they simply signify the best choices you can make, for you.
All in all, preventing bad habits occurs when we create good ones, and our habits are based on values that we mentally set. The quality of our health depends on us and the quality of our best efforts. In 2015, Dr. Anthony Gustin started Equip Foods (formerly PureWOD) because he felt he had no other choice when seeking well rounded and healthy supplements. As a functional medicine and sports rehab clinician, he was sick and frustrated at seeing what his patients and athletes were putting into their bodies trying to be healthy. In particular, fillers, additives, gums, and non-food garbage that actually had a greater potential to make people unwell and perhaps counteract or the positive steps they were making to longevity and wellness. Before Equip, nothing whole food based existed. Supplements should add to health and well being, and most certainly not take away.
Dr. Gustin personally designs and develops every single product after thorough research, review, sourcing, and production of each ingredient. These products were ones he wanted to take himself. Equip’s mission is to raise the bar for the health food & supplement industry by being transparent well beyond what is required, and in effect, to raise consumer expectations around what they deserve to know. Equip Foods to aspire to create the cleanest, most effective blends of nutrients in support of your body’s needs and your overall wellbeing.

Complete Collagen From Equip Foods:
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and is a key constituent of all connective tissues. It provides the infrastructure of the musculoskeletal system, which is essential for mobility. The intake of collagen ensures the cohesion, elasticity, and regeneration of skin, hair, tendon, cartilage, bones, and joints. Collagen is made up of the amino acids: glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine. The composition of collagen is considered unique given its high hydroxyproline content. If you lack the amino acids that combine to form collagen, it subsequently results in your body’s cells not producing enough of it.
Complete Collagen is:
